HOME. SIERRA and SEA.

 Sierra Home.
 Feather River.

House. Trailer. Boat.
Not always in that order or rank.
I am beginning to think we are taking this vagabond thing too far. We appear to be spending more time in the car - thank heaven for a BIG Denali- traveling between our home in the Sierra, our trailer in Morro Bay Bay to visit our adorable 2+ grandson, Jack, and back to Scrimshaw in San Diego, soon to be at Marina Coral in Mexico for the winter. Then we start the whole routine over. We had a Grand Thanksgiving in Danville with my family, before arriving back home to 3 cords of fire wood waiting to be stacked to dry. I built a cozy fire and started a Le Creuset pot of chicken stew. The only time I really cook is in the Sierra. San Diego and Mexico just offer too darn many options to dine out. And I seldom cook in the trailer, it's way more fun to play with Baby Jack. Darrell doesn't even unpack his bags anymore. Clothes go from the washer and dryer to the travel bag. Not me, I'm a Virgo, which requires full packing and unpacking, with everything neatly in its place.

Papa and Jack set up our Retro trailer.

Packed up the car and off we go south. Back to Fall Sunsets in San Diego.
We had an entire week of sunsets like these!

All our spots - Sierra and Sea, and stops in between, are surrounded by beauty, wonderful friends, and loving family. I can't foresee any immediate change in our lives. Until the Pacific Northwest adventure in Scrimshaw next Spring.......

But, until then, we've got Christmas.
Every year just after Thanksgiving we cut our own tree.
The fewer the branches the better, I've got to have room for all my ancient decorations.
Lots of tree jewelry.  It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas......
JOY. JOY. JOY.

Wherever we go, there we are. Sierra Valley.
