SCRIMSHAW HAS ARRIVED IN MORRO BAY

Scrimshaw at the Morro Bay Yacht Club
I took this picture a couple of years ago on a sunny October day. Today's view was a bit foggier.
Scrimshaw at rest in Morro Bay
My girlfriend, Judy, took this picture today from her deck, of Scrimshaw on her mooring in front of the MBYC. Scrimshaw looks dang good with a lavender-pink glow cast about her. Judy and Reg's fast fishing cruiser is in the foreground tied up to their dock.
Thanks Judy!

Not a big journey from Ventura to Morro Bay, but weather further north was closing in, so Darrell and two buddies headed north on Leg 1 to the Pacific Northwest. The sea state at  Point Conception was relatively calm with decent visibility. They rounded the corner at midnight and tied up to the dock at the Morro Bay Yacht Club by 6am. Darrell made waffles for the guys, as he does after every successful passage. Then, armed with a mask and gloves he got to see Jack and Hana for the first time in 4 long months. Darrell delivered a fast orange bike for Jack, who at age 4 rides like a bat outta hell. Fun was had by all. Except for me, who got to FaceTime with, instead of hug, my grandson. If Covid 19 numbers stay low and a second wave doesn't come along, we'll drive back down for a family visit, before bringing Scrimshaw home to Washington. The current plan is to wait at home for another, and longer, weather window to Port Ludlow, Washington.
 Our boy Jack.
He's a big 4 1/2-year old!
Jack, on his new bike, keeps watch over Scrimshaw.

One last Morro Bay sunset for Scrimshaw, before Darrell takes her north.
